The Country's Best Craft Whiskey

Sorry Kentucky, but the "Craft Whiskey of the Year" for 2016 comes from Bainbridge Organic Distillers right here on the island. Hand crafted in small batches and casked in rare Mizunara oak barrels, this baby goes for $495 for 750ml and, apparently, it's worth every penny.  Better be quick, though.  At the time of this writing, there were only 14 bottles left.  Named in honor of the original Bainbridge Island Japanese immigrants, part of the proceeds from the sale of Yama benefit the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum. For under $60, you'll go bananas for their incredible Battle Pt. Whiskey which is so popular it sells out almost the day it's released.

Not a whiskey fan? They also create ultra-premium craft distilled spirits made from USDA Certified Organic wheat, barley, triticale and corn grown especially for them on farms right in Washington State.  Vodka, Douglas Fir Gin, and Vanilla Vodka, as well as whiskey barrel-aged maple syrup are all available at their beautiful tasting room.

Everything these folks brew is delicious and it's all stunningly packaged for proud display or gift giving.  Not that it will last long on display because it's fine enough to drink straight. Trust me, I've tried it!  The next time someone wants to go wine tasting, you'll be the toast of the town for taking them here instead.  Cheers!
